Life, Dolphins and Orgasmic Birthing

Our culture has a very rigid paradigm when it comes to the birthing and death (but more on death in another blog) processes. It comes as no surprise that our fixed ideologies may not only be flawed but may in fact be harmful to the human soul. Information is beginning to illuminate ancient (as far back to Atlantis) methods of birthing that not only make the painful process of labor less intensive but in fact enjoyable (for Mother and Child). To the point that woman have gone on record to say they have even experience orgasms while giving birth.

YES! Orgasms!!

The Delivery Room

Any doting Father will tell you that said experience is a scene straight out of the ‘The Exorcist’. The experience has become so over bearing that expecting Mother’s are regularly given pain-reducing drugs through Epidural analgesia. In fact, “natural births” have become the exception rather than the norm. In our quest to make life easier and more manageable, does anyone stop to ask, what effects does this have on the Mother and Child during childbirth?

Studies have shown (http://www.midwiferytoday.com/articles/drugsinlabour.asp) that since the 1950’s, pain reducing drugs given to expecting Mother’s increase the chances of various harmful side effects including severe abnormalities, neurobehavioral/brain changes, drug addiction and even death.

The one thing this study does not take into account is the spiritual and energetic toll pain reducing drugs may have on said parties during said experience. Omitted, in both birth and death experience, is how consciousness (which is directly linked to our spiritual well-being) affects the process and outcome. One has to wonder, if a Mother is off in opioid-land and not completely “present” to the experience, how does it affect the consciousness of the newborn?

Underwater Birthing and Dolphins

Underwater birthing is a trend that is beginning to grow throughout the world. Although it’s not a revolutionary idea (as I said, it extends all the way back to Atlantis), underwater childbearing is becoming popular again for one simple fact…it works! The water (which are bodies are 90% of) has a calming effect on women going through the usually painful process of life giving and studies have shown it greatly reduces the pain and stress of an otherwise beautiful experience. The positive effects of underwater birthing are amplified when one of the friendliest finned creatures on the planet, the Dolphin, is included in the equation.

Dolphins are widely considered to be the smartest creature on the planet. In fact, when we begin to dive deeper into the mystery of life we find that there are many species that are far more evolutionary advanced than humans (whales being another one -- think Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home). The long history of dolphins and where they originate (which is not planet earth -- believe it or not) is worthy of it’s own blog but for now we’ll get back on topic and say that in ancient times, Dolphins were used as midwives.

As seen in the video, not only is the Dolphin aware of what’s going on but it also consciously chooses to be involved. As we know, dolphins communicate under water with ultrasonic frequencies and many have speculated that perhaps these marine midwives use said communication to calm and sooth Mother and babe during delivery. Some even suggest that the dolphins can communicate on deeper levels with the children (refer to when I said that Dolphins are far more advanced than us! *wink wink*). In either event, people are beginning to wake up to the idea that underwater birthing with dolphins as midwives…just works! And with such results as pain free delivery!!

But what about the orgasmic birthing you say!! Fine, I’ll get to that.

Orgasmic Birthing

Although I’m not as familiar with orgasmic birthing (and no, not just because I’m a man silly) I did find this interesting looking documentary on Youtube recently. It’s a whole other paradigm where the expectant Mothers go through what looks like a form of tantric breathing while in labor. In case you’re not familiar with tantric breathing it’s a form of recycling the sexual energy to intensify (and withhold physical) orgasm. Since birthing is focused in the major female erogenous zone it would make sense that women would be able to stay consciously in the “moment” and enjoy the experience in the fullest way possible!

In the end (or should I say "beginning"), there is more than meets the eye to life (and life giving)! And if the possibly exists that child birth can be a pain-free and healthier experience we should not only search out those paradigms but embrace and promote them! For the experience of coming into this third dimensional reality is beautiful and unique and should be maximized to the fullest.
